Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Economic, Financial Challenge Tops Phase's Priorities
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received at his office this morning the Head of Taqadum Party, Mr. Mohammed Al-Halbousi, during which the two sides discussed the latest developments of the current situation.
Both sides addressed the file of completing the ministerial cabinet of Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi's government, and affirmed a convergence of views on the importance of expediting the cabinet's formation and selecting ministers of competence, integrity, and sound conduct, calling for dialogue as the means to resolve outstanding issues and noting that Iraq has moved beyond its difficult phase of political deadlock.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that the challenges surrounding Iraq require all parties to prioritize the general national interest over sectarian and private interests, noting that the economic and financial challenge tops the list of priorities and that addressing it demands clear and realistic visions and programs.
At the conclusion of the meeting, H.E. pointed out the nature of the regional developments surrounding Iraq, emphasizing the importance of restoring regional calm and stability, which would in turn reflect positively on the stability of the region's countries.
