Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Regional, International Openness to Stem from National Interest, Sovereignty Preservation
As part of his visit to Erbil Governorate, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with the Governor of Erbil, Mr. Omeed Khoshnaw, and several heads of administrative units and directors of service and security departments in the governorate, affirming the importance of communication among Iraq's governorates at the executive, legislative, political, and social levels, and calling for the exchange of expertise and experience in local government administration, and adherence to the principle of administrative decentralization as a constitutional reality.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed the nature of the challenges surrounding Iraq, noting that Iraq has overcome security, political, and social challenges, and today faces a stifling economic trend due to the decline in Iraqi oil production and exports as a result of the events of the region, expressing his optimism about overcoming this crisis and restoring stability in the region. At the same time, H.E. called for benefiting from the experiences of this stage, represented by diversifying the Iraqi economy and diversifying oil export outlets through a pipeline network toward the Mediterranean and Red Seas, while affirming the importance of confronting challenges with greater national cohesion, internal solidarity, and openness to the regional and international environment, in accordance with national interest and the preservation of sovereignty.
