Sayyid Al-Hakeem Urges International Community to Shoulder Responsibilities to Restore Regional Stability
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with His Excellency the Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Cui Wei, at the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Iraq.
On bilateral relations, H.E. affirmed that the partnership between Baghdad and Beijing transcends the diplomatic dimension, stressing that deepening these relations is an obligation imposed by the interests of the two friendly peoples.
On the Iraqi front, H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem declared that Iraq has moved beyond the phase of political deadlock with the designation of Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi, affirming that the real phase begins now and that supporting the Prime Minister-designate in confronting financial and economic challenges is not a political stance but a test of the blocs' seriousness in serving the citizen.
On the regional level, H.E. placed upon the nations of the world the responsibility of bringing peace to the region, stating clearly: "Escalation does not produce security, it produces crises that transcend the region's borders and affect all without exception," and calling on the international community to contribute effectively to restoring stability before the crisis assumes dimensions that no one holds the keys to closing.
