Sayyid Al-Hakeem Calls to Diversify Export Outlets, Launch Strategic Projects
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met this evening with His Excellency the Minister of Oil, Basim Mohammed Khudair, congratulating him on the confidence granted by the Parliament and wishing him success in his duties to elevate the Ministry of Oil.
H.E. Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed during the meeting the necessity of completing projects, particularly those related to gas, affirming the importance of investing in national effort, developing oil sector cadres, and obligating companies to employ national rather than foreign labor.
H.E. also affirmed the necessity of the ministry's attention to services provided to areas hosting oil and gas fields, foremost among them the areas of northern Basra.
H.E. called for completing the legislative framework for the oil sector, foremost among which is the Oil and Gas Law, stressing the importance of the ministry's role in charting a comprehensive vision that safeguards the rights of all and reinforces national unity. H.E. further affirmed the importance of diversifying export outlets and seizing the current phase to launch related projects.
