Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Expertise Exchange Among Governorates Contributes to Infrastructure Development, Services Improvement
At the outset of the second day of his tour of the Kurdistan Region, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met at the governorate diwan with the Governor, Dr. Ali Tatar, and his two deputies, Mr. Majid Sayid Saleh and Mr. Shamoun Shlimon Ashu, and the meeting addressed the state of services in Iraq's governorates, ways of exchanging expertise among them, and benefiting from experiences in supporting infrastructure and diversifying sources of income for the governorates.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed the importance of local governments as the truest expression of the administrative decentralization stipulated by the Iraqi constitution, calling for diversifying sources of income and supporting investments and the private sector to advance the state of services and provide job opportunities. H.E. also called for engagement with universities and adopting ideas and visions that would provide practical solutions to problems and crises.
