    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Congratulates Al-Zaidi, Calls Competent Government Reflect Iraqis’ Will, Address Economic, Security Challenges

    His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received the Prime Minister-designate, Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi, at his office in Baghdad this morning, congratulated him on gaining the confidence of the Coordination Framework powers and being entrusted with forming the new government, and wished him success in completing the cabinet lineup.
    H.E. underscored that the upcoming government must genuinely reflect the will of the Iraqi people in all their diversity, stressing the importance of entrusting key positions to capable and qualified figures across state institutions.
    H.E. also called for effective coordination with the Parliament and the Supreme Judicial Council in advancing legislation, with a focus on priority laws, while emphasizing the need to carry forward the service and economic initiatives launched by the government of Mr. Mohammed Al-Sudani.
    H.E. further emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced approach toward regional and international actors, while fostering a positive atmosphere with all parties, and stressed the need to define clear priorities, foremost among them addressing financial and economic challenges. H.E. pointed to the importance of diversifying revenue sources, expanding oil export channels, reforming the banking sector, and attracting foreign investment, noting that achieving this requires a solid internal and external foundation.
    On the security level, H.E. affirmed that the current state of stability must be safeguarded, calling for support for all security institutions and continued intelligence efforts to target terrorist strongholds and prevent their reemergence under any circumstances.
