Sayyid Al-Hakeem from Iraqi Medical Association: Political Reality, Stability Preservation Foundation to Protect Iraq’s Interests
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, took part in a Ramadan evening hosted by the Iraqi Medical Association, where H.E. expressed sincere appreciation for the opportunity to meet with distinguished medical professionals and exchange views on the latest political developments in Iraq and across the region.
His Eminence observed that Iraq has stood at the heart of the turbulence that recently affected the region, emphasizing that the nation’s dignity is intrinsically linked to the dignity and security of its people. H.E. stressed the importance of safeguarding Iraq’s vital interests through a balanced approach rooted in wisdom and positive engagement with emerging challenges.
H.E. further called to adopt political realism as the most practical framework for governing states and protecting the interests of their societies, urging the preservation of Iraq’s current stability and the need to build upon it. H.E. also advocated for revising legislation related to the health sector and medical professions in a manner that energizes the private sector, transforms it into an attractive and dynamic environment, and supports the training and advancement of Iraqi professionals.
H.E. affirmed that empowering the private sector would enhance the quality of public services by alleviating the burden on state institutions.
