Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Sanitation Engineers Restored Baghdad’s Radiance, Allah, Messenger Loves Working Hands
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, attended a Ramadan iftar held in honor of sanitation engineers from the Baghdad Mayoralty, in the presence of the Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa. H.E. extended congratulations to the attendees on the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, praying that Allah grant everyone forgiveness and include them among those who receive His mercy rather than those deprived of it.
H.E. emphasized the importance of sanitation engineers, describing them as unsung heroes whose efforts are clearly reflected in the cleanliness of the capital. H.E. noted that the residents of Baghdad and visitors to the city alike can witness these achievements, in addition to the visible progress in reconstruction and development. H.E. also congratulated the Mayor of Baghdad on receiving the confidence of the Council of Representatives and called for continued efforts to restore Baghdad’s beauty and brilliance.
H.E. further stated: “Work is something sacred. Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) once kissed the hand of a laborer and said: ‘This is a hand loved by Allah and His Messenger,’ describing it as a hand that the Fire will not touch.”
H.E. also expressed delight at seeing tourists visiting areas such as Al-Mutanabbi Street and Al-Rasheed Street, noting that Iraq is experiencing security and social stability and is contributing to stability across the region. H.E. concluded by wishing everyone an accepted fast and a blessed iftar in obedience to Allah and in pursuit of His pleasure.
