Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms National Dialogue, Understanding Enhancement to Complete Politcal Entitlements, Achieve Economic Stability
Amid ongoing political activity, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met with Mr. Aras Habeeb, Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Congress, to discuss recent political developments in Iraq and the region in light of the rapid changes shaping the current stage.
The meeting focused on key constitutional and political files, including electoral entitlements, the election of the President of the Republic, and the formation of the new government. His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem underscored the importance of broadening channels of dialogue and consolidating national consensus to overcome pending challenges, in a way that guarantees political stability and protects the country’s higher interests.
H.E. illustrated that the interests of Iraq and its people must remain the top priority above all other considerations, calling for managing this phase with a strong sense of national responsibility.
The meeting also featured an in-depth discussion of the economic situation, where H.E. emphasized the need to optimally utilize state resources by increasing revenues, controlling public spending, and adopting clear strategic approaches to address crises through practical and implementable programs. H.E. further reaffirmed the necessity of revitalizing productive sectors, particularly agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and modern technology, moving beyond a rent-dependent economy, and strengthening Iraq’s economic resilience against fluctuations in global oil prices.
