Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms Components Partnership Importance to Preserve Political System, Country’s Stability
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received at His office in Baghdad on Thursday morning, 29 January 2026, the Secretary-General of Muttahidoon Party, Mr. Osama Al-Nujaifi, along with his accompanying delegation.
The meeting addressed developments in Iraq’s political scene and the wider region, with H.E. emphasizing the importance of genuine partnership among all components in assuming national responsibilities and safeguarding the political system in a manner that reinforces the country’s stability and sovereignty.
H.E. praised the progress achieved in development and reconstruction in Nineveh Governorate after its liberation from terrorism and extremism, noting that while these achievements are significant, they must be sustained and supported by fair distribution of efforts and resources, and should not be treated as short-term or symbolic successes.
H.E. reiterated the need to preserve the stability attained in Iraq on the political, security, and social levels, pointing out that Iraq is building on positive momentum and drawing closer to lasting stability, which requires responsible policymaking and avoiding any actions that could jeopardize the gains already made.
H.E. also stressed the necessity of maintaining security, military, and intelligence preparedness to confront the challenges facing Iraq, especially in light of recent regional developments, affirming that security alertness is not a temporary measure but a permanent requirement to protect stability and national sovereignty.
