Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Republic President Affirm to Constitutional Entitlements, to Consolidate Political Stability
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received the President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, at His Baghdad office on Saturday evening, 10 January 2026. The meeting discussed developments in the political landscape in Iraq and the region.
Both sides underscored the importance of moving forward with completing the remaining constitutional entitlements in accordance with approved constitutional timelines, in a manner that strengthens the constitutional path and consolidates political stability.
His Eminence stressed the necessity of safeguarding the current state of political, social, and security stability, and working to transform it into sustainable stability that benefits all Iraqis.
H.E. noted that dialogue and understandings within Iraqi components contribute to reinforcing stability among them and facilitate reaching the required national consensuses on outstanding entitlements. H.E. also pointed out that Iraq faces economic and climate-related challenges that require unified efforts, shared responsibility, and the adoption of effective solutions to address them.
