Sayyid Al-Hakeem Joins Christmas Celebrations at Evangelical Christian Union Church, Affirms Iraqi Unity
From the National Evangelical Christian Union Church, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, joined Christian brothers and sisters in their Christmas celebrations, extending congratulations on this blessed occasion and expressing pride in the religious and cultural diversity that distinguishes Iraqi society.
H.E. affirmed that Iraq is the unifying umbrella sheltering all its people, noting the difficult security conditions the Christian community endured in past years, which led to the migration of many of its members. H.E. stressed that Iraq today is experiencing recovery and stability, which calls for encouraging their return to contribute to rebuilding the country and shaping its future.
H.E. pointed out that Jesus Christ (peace be upon Him) embodied a model of asceticism, simplicity, and the defense of human values, calling for drawing inspiration from these principles to rationalize public spending, deliver services to citizens, and confront corruption without discrimination, selectivity, or evasion, affirming that combating corruption is an authentic moral and humanitarian approach.
