Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets PUK delegation, Affirms Stance Unity, Constitutional Timelines Adherence
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, a delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party headed by Mr. Fadhil Mirani, and discussed developments in Iraq’s political scene, the outcomes of the recent elections, and the upcoming constitutional milestones.
H.E. emphasized the need for a unified stance across all arenas and called for preserving understandings among national components, as well as among political powers within the same component. H.E. stressed that national interest must guide internal dialogue, reflecting a clear and responsible political image, especially after citizens reaffirmed their commitment to the political path and support for the system through their wide and active participation in the elections.
H.E. reiterated the call to make reform-based approaches and programs the guiding standard for the next stage, highlighting the importance of reaching consensus on mechanisms to address challenges before settling on individuals. H.E. also underscored the importance of safeguarding stability and working to turn it into sustainable stability through effective management of the current phase and adherence to constitutional timelines for selecting the three presidencies and forming the government.
