Sayyid Al-Hakeem Receives Chevron Representative, Affirms Investment, Develop Iraqi Competencies Importance
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met on Sunday evening, December 14, 2025, at His office in Baghdad with Mr. Joe Charles, representative of the American Chevron Company. The meeting included a briefing on the company’s plans for the Iraqi oil market and emphasized the importance of the presence of major international companies in Iraq, as well as investing in the wide-ranging opportunities the country offers.
H.E. highlighted the significance of training and developing Iraqi labor, noting that empowering national talents and enhancing their capabilities serves shared interests and fosters constructive engagement and satisfaction with operating oil companies. H.E. also stressed the need for oil companies to play an active role in construction and reconstruction campaigns in deprived areas.
H.E. noted that Iraq is witnessing an unprecedented level of political, social, and security stability, explaining that this environment enabled the holding of elections in a competitive climate and reflected Iraqi society’s adherence to the electoral path and its support for the country’s democratic political system.
