Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Expanding Turkey Cooperation Vital for Stability, Joint Development
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, welcomed His Excellency Mr. Anıl Bora İnan, Turkey’s Ambassador to Iraq, at his office. The meeting discussed Iraqi–Turkish bilateral ties and ways to strengthen them in line with the interests of both nations and their friendly peoples.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem highlighted the success of Iraq’s recent elections, noting the positive climate they reflected and reaffirming the Iraqi people’s commitment to the democratic process in selecting their representatives. H.E. stressed that Iraq remains open to its regional and international environment and is keen to build strong relations based on mutual interests and respect for national sovereignty.
H.E. underscored the importance of forming the upcoming government within the constitutional timelines and called for turning electoral platforms into practical, achievable programs that address citizens’ aspirations and meet the demands of the current phase.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem also commended the recent Iraq–Turkey agreement in the economic and development sectors, urging continued support and further advancement of the agreement to strengthen shared interests and contribute to the stability and prosperity of both countries.
