    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Meets Barzani During Duhok Security Peace Forum, Calls Constitutional Dialogue Effective Government

    His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met in Duhok with President Masoud Barzani, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, and Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on the sidelines of the Sixth Middle East Peace and Security Forum. The meeting included mutual congratulations on the success of the recent parliamentary elections and the positive image presented by the Iraqi people nationwide through their firm commitment to the ballot box as the legitimate means of choosing representatives.
    H.E. affirmed that the elections were marked by several positive features, most notably broad and effective participation, clarity and transparency, and the swift announcement of results, commending the contributions of political powers, the government, the Electoral Commission, security institutions, and media outlets.
    H.E. noted that these gains represent an opportunity that must be invested to strengthen stability and advance Iraq toward a phase of sustainable stability.
    H.E. emphasized the importance of dialogue to resolve outstanding issues among political actors in line with the Constitution and the supreme national interest, while also underscoring the need to support a positive relationship between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to safeguard national stability and unity of direction.
    H.E. further called for the formation of the next government within constitutional timelines, based on a clear vision and realistic plans that take into account current priorities and challenges and ensure meeting citizens’ aspirations.
