In the gathering hosted by our dear brother, Sheikh Riadh Al-Saadi, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a group of elders and dignitaries of the honorable Al-Suwaid tribe on 24/4/2024, recalling the moments and milestones that united them and discussing with them the developments in Iraq on the security, economic, and political levels. He discussed the government's directions to end the tasks of the international coalition in a friendly manner, maintaining bilateral relations between Iraq and coalition countries based on mutual interests and preserving Iraq's sovereignty. His Eminence emphasized that Iraq is part of a regional and international system and must be an active participant in interactions with regional and global countries. H.E. highlighted that the Prime Minister's visit was within this context and in the framework of implementing the strategic framework agreement with the United States.
H.E. affirmed that the positive indicators in security, politics, and society are evidence of Iraq's recovery and its journey toward achieving development and providing services. H.E. explained that the provincial councils and the new blood injected into them will contribute to improving the reality of Maysan Province and that there is a favorable opportunity to achieve qualitative development in the province.
H.E. called for seizing opportunities directing budgets toward services and enhancing development opportunities. H.E. also renewed his call to support investment and create a suitable and secure investment environment capable of attracting capital. H.E. urged the people of Maysan, the government, tribes, and dignitaries to unite in supporting investment and providing protection to investors, emphasizing that tribal conflicts portray an image of insecurity in the southern provinces.
H.E. emphasized the need to aim guns against terrorism and to resolve differences through religious, customary, and legal means, urging the people of Maysan to put an end to this issue and to be an example for other provinces to follow.
