Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Next Phase Requires Shouldering Responsibility, Professional Work, Preserving Sovereignty
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met with the Alliance’s two blocs in the executive and legislative authorities and the local governments, valuing all the efforts that have been and are being made in serving citizens, congratulating them on Iraq’s National Day and National Sovereignty Day and the end of the International Coalition’s mission, and stressing the importance of coordinating positions between the two blocs and maintaining communication between them.
H.E. regarded the state’s regularity in paying salaries and the dues of farmers and contractors as a great achievement under the difficult financial circumstances, valuing the work to complete the program-based budget for its role in targeting files of the highest priority.
H.E. explained that ending the International Coalition’s mission through understanding is a message of recovery for Iraq and an international acknowledgment of it, stressing the need to shoulder responsibilities in the coming phase and to work professionally in it, and to move toward a bilateral relationship between Iraq and the coalition countries that achieves interests and preserves sovereignty.
H.E. called for developing the security situation and maintaining constant readiness for any challenge or security breach, explaining the importance of embracing the social components and sending messages of national partnership, national cohesion, and internal solidarity, and stressing the need to complete the resolution of the problem of weapons outside the framework of the state according to the agreed schedules and timelines.
H.E. affirmed the importance of service and of introducing it to the public, calling on the members of the legislative and executive blocs of the National State Powers’ Alliance to live up to the public’s trust and expectations, and stressing the importance of highlighting the positives and championing the political system and the achievements it has delivered over the past two decades.
