Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Ending Regional War, Escalation Necessary to Protect Iraq’s Interests
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received the Secretary-General of the Badr Organization, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri, where the two sides exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Sovereignty Day (the end of the mission of the International Coalition to Combat ISIS) and the requirements that follow from it.
H.E. renewed the affirmation that this day represents an Iraqi message of recovery and a testimony from the coalition countries to Iraq’s ability to manage its security file without needing others, and that it also represents an important starting point for a comprehensive resolution of the problem of weapons outside the state. H.E. stressed the importance of facing challenges with greater internal cohesion, especially the economic challenge.
On regional affairs, the two sides stressed the necessity of restoring stability in the region and ending the state of war and escalation.
