Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Diwaniyah, Salahuddin Current Development Programs Top Priorities
From the Abu Gharaq sub-district in Babil Governorate, His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, visited the guest house of Haj Majid Al-Taie and met a group of tribal sheikhs and dignitaries in Babil, calling for giving the governorates great importance and explaining that Babil suffered from various events in the past period, causing the governorate to fall behind in reconstruction. H.E. commended the efforts of the current local government in advancing the reconstruction process.
H.E. affirmed the government's direction toward concentrating efforts on specific governorates each year in order to bring about a qualitative leap in them, pointing to the importance of balancing programs and priorities and noting that Diwaniyah and Salahuddin governorates sit at the top of the priorities, while deeming it likely that Babil will be among the priorities of the coming years, and expressing hope for Iraq's return to its normal state after the escalation in the region ends.
H.E. called for addressing the issue of weapons outside the framework of the state and handing over weapons to the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), praising the factions' engagement with and understanding of this direction and their response to resolving the weapons issue, and commending all efforts that contributed to confronting terrorism and liberating Iraqi territory.
