Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Public Interest Must Take Precedence over Private Interests to Address National Files
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received this evening the Secretary-General of Badr Organization, Mr. Hadi Al-Amiri.
The meeting addressed developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, where H.E. stressed the importance of facing challenges with greater internal cohesion and national unity, and expressed support for the government in confronting the economic and financial challenges.
H.E. also affirmed the importance of resolving the issue of weapons outside the framework of the state, stressing that the matter be settled through understanding and dialogue and by prioritizing the public interest over private interests. The two sides stressed the need to restore stability in the region and end the state of escalation and tension.
