Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Coordination Framework Unity, Sectarian Discourse Rejection
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received a delegation from Al-Nahj Al-Watani Bloc at his office in Baghdad, where the two sides discussed developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, and H.E. stressed the importance of overcoming crises through greater national cohesion and internal unity, considering the economic crisis to be foremost among the crises, and therefore its resolution must be at the top of priorities.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for sustaining the anti-corruption campaign and focusing on major files, and working to recover public funds, stressing the need to dry up the sources of corruption and to adopt governance and automation in transactions, while also stressing the adoption of dialogue and understanding to complete the project of consolidating weapons under state authority, along with the importance of immortalizing the stories and achievements of those who sacrificed in confronting terrorism, affirming that the project should be Iraqi in terms of its timing and the mechanisms adopted for it.
H.E. also called for upholding the unity of the Coordination Framework, noting that the Framework has set an example in political performance and has contributed to forming the government and overcoming crises, stressing the preservation of the achievements made on the security, social, and political fronts, and rejecting the voices seeking to return Iraq to square one through spreading and promoting sectarian discourse, and targeting the symbols of Iraq's components.
For their part, the delegation of the Al-Nahj Al-Watani Bloc commended the efforts made in preserving political stability, recalling the legacy of Aziz Al-Iraq (may Allah sanctify his secret) and his efforts in preserving the rights of the largest component as well as the rest of Iraq's components, and his insistence, at the time of forming the United Iraqi Alliance, on representing everyone.
