Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq's Interest Lies in the Independence of Its Decision, Openness to All Axes

His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance and Leader of Al-Hikma National Movement, chaired the periodic meeting of Al-Hikma's Advisory Council, and those present discussed the topics set on the agenda.
At the outset of his remarks, H.E. offered congratulations on the advent of the month of Rabi' Al-Awwal, the month of the blessed birth that changed the course of history, the birth of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq (PBUH).
H.E. pointed to the radiant image presented by Iraqis during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, where millions marched toward the shrine of the Master of Martyrs in this scorching heat, and thousands of Husseini processions provided services to this large number through voluntary work and personal efforts, and the absence of major incidents reflects good management and organization.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem noted that the region is living through exceptional circumstances, with the raging war and the state of instability that have cast their shadow over Iraq, causing it too to live through exceptional circumstances, particularly economically, as Iraqi oil exports have come to a halt, requiring this matter to be addressed through multiplying export outlets, in addition to working toward the strategic goal of diversifying sources of income through the five pillars of agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and technology.
H.E. reaffirmed his support for Mr. Ali Al-Zaidi's government in its endeavors to build strong relations with the countries of the region and the world, and to enhance Iraq's presence in international forums to dispel doubts, strengthen partnerships, and clarify positions, as well as in its endeavors to combat corruption, and H.E. reaffirmed his backing for this campaign, along with the importance of its continuation along this approach and targeting major files, and stressed electronic governance and digitization to achieve greater transparency and safeguard public funds.
H.E. also affirmed the necessity of completing the government cabinet and expediting this, so that we may have a fully formed government proceeding to implement its program.
H.E. also stressed that Iraq's interest lies in the independence of its political decision and its openness to all regional axes without being a party to any of them.
On the matter of confining weapons to the hands of the state, H.E. reaffirmed that understanding and dialogue are the optimal path to resolving this file, along with the importance of preserving the standing of the armed factions that offered sacrifices and martyrs in fighting terrorism and liberating the land.
In closing his remarks, Sayyid Al-Hakeem called on the members of the Advisory Council to engage in fieldwork and serve our people with the resources available.
