His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received a delegation from the Hasm parliamentary bloc headed by Mr. Thabit Al-Abbasi, and the two sides discussed developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region, with H.E. affirming the importance of combining efforts to confront challenges, particularly the economic challenge, noting that Iraq has faced more severe challenges on the social and political levels, and overcame them through the unity of its people and by prioritizing the public interest over private interests.
H.E. renewed his support for combating corruption, expressing his support for both the judicial and executive tracks in this field, calling for finalizing political understandings to complete the government cabinet, and appointing competent ministers for the vacant ministries. H.E. also affirmed the importance of legislating laws with direct bearing on people's interests, through which the structure of the Iraqi state is completed.
