Sayyid Al-Hakeem Calls for Regional Dialogue, Ceasefire, Stability Restoration
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received His Excellency the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Irfan Siddiq, and discussed with him bilateral relations between Baghdad and London and ways to develop them in a manner that serves everyone's interests and preserves the country's sovereignty, while the two sides addressed regional events and ways to restore stability.
H.E. renewed his support for the judicial and governmental track in combating corruption, calling for targeting major files in order to restore citizens' trust in the political process and state procedures, in a manner that preserves public funds.
On regional events, H.E. called for restoring stability there, warning against their slide into wider dimensions, and urging major powers and countries of the region to take the initiative to halt fire and adopt dialogue to resolve outstanding issues.
