Sayyid Al-Hakeem Stresses Completing Government Cabinet, Coordination Framework Unity, Supporting Stability Reform
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received this evening a delegation from the Reconstruction and Development parliamentary bloc headed by Mr. Baha Al-Araji.
The two sides exchanged views on developments in the political landscape in Iraq and the region, and upcoming milestones represented by completing the government cabinet and supporting its reform path in combating corruption, with emphasis on the importance of legislating laws carried over from previous parliamentary sessions that address citizens' needs and strengthen the institutional structure of the Iraqi state.
H.E. affirmed that Iraq has succeeded in overcoming the state of political deadlock, electing the three presidencies, and forming the government, stressing the need to preserve and sustain this stability and shoulder responsibilities toward it, and affirming the importance of addressing Iraq's economic situation through integrated phased and strategic steps.
H.E. also stressed the importance of Coordination Framework unity, noting that the unity of the components is an imperative necessity for achieving national unity and preserving stability, and called for adopting dialogue as a fundamental path to resolving outstanding issues among all parties.
