Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms Government’s Support for Reform, Development Path During Current Phase
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, received this morning at his office in Baghdad a delegation from the National Line Movement, headed by Mr. Aziz Al-Rubaie.
The meeting featured an exchange of views on developments in the political landscape in Iraq and the region, as well as upcoming entitlements, during which H.E. stressed the importance of completing the government cabinet and supporting the government in its reform and development path, calling for an understanding of the nature of the economic reality and the challenges facing Iraq in the current phase.
The two sides also discussed the National Line Movement's initiative concerning the amendment of the electoral law, with H.E. affirming the necessity of ensuring that the law reflects the will of the Iraqi people and its various components, and that it achieves a balance between the number of votes and seats in a manner that enhances representational justice.
H.E. called for seizing the current phase to pursue genuine economic remedies that contribute to diversifying the national economy and ending the rentier state condition, explaining that the solution lies in activating and supporting the various productive sectors in a manner that achieves sustainable development and provides employment opportunities for citizens.
