Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraq’s Openness to the World in Terms of Sovereignty, Joint Interests First
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq, H.E. Ruben Soghoyan, during which a number of bilateral and regional matters were reviewed.
On the bilateral front, discussions focused on advancing relations between the two friendly nations and their peoples. His Eminence underscored the value of leveraging shared common ground in ways that serve mutual interests, reaffirming that Iraq maintains an open approach toward all countries based on mutual benefit and full respect for national sovereignty.
Regionally, His Eminence reiterated the call to halt the war and restore stability across the region, emphasizing that differences must be addressed through dialogue and understanding, away from escalation.
In another context, His Eminence highlighted Iraq’s rich social and cultural diversity, stressing the importance of managing and harnessing this diversity as a source of societal strength and enrichment. H.E. added that Iraq’s components represent vital bridges for communication with the peoples of the region and the wider international community.
